Books of Buderim - Portraits of a Tea Cosy

Image
Thank you all for coming to Books of Buderim on the 16th September and sharing in the cult of the tea cosy. I really enjoyed your company. And Melissa - who bought the book but who doesn't knit? The Perigian Trading Company holds knitting classes once a month and more regularly through the school hols. Thank you Jo, who made us feel so very welcome into your lovely bookshop and took care of every little thing.

And to those wonderful women who had their portraits taken - the tea cosy has made the 'cheeky' shine through in all of you. I LOVE those photos. Be sure to pop over to the Portraits of a Tea Cosy blog for a look see.

Resting with Socks

What does one do between tea cosies? Knit socks of course. I've been on a shopping spree. Wool from Mullumbimby. The craft store in the main street has new owners and is looking very spiffy inside these days. The sock is being worked in Filatura Di Crosa Baby, Zarina print bought from there. Hmm mmmm! And the lolly wool? It came from the Peregian Trading Company. Not a wool store but the owner is a mad knitter and can't help herself. She stocks this yummy Nundle Woollen Mills 8 ply.
