For Chooks R Us - Life in the Dome

Dear Ms Chooksrus,
I also have a collection of chooks. This lot came all the way from China. They seem very surprised in this photograph taken of them at home. Perhaps they were taken aback when they learned they were about to travel all the way to Australia. Now that they are here they look rather cross. I have chooks with attitude!

And then there are all these other funny fellows wandering about the place. My mother would say they were 'dust collectors' if she were alive, but she's not so she won't.

Every chook has a heart - beating or no.

I Knit - London - Wild Tea Cosies Launch

Well thank you so much to Craig and Gerard at I Knit for taking care of things in London. What a treat. I am well chuffed. I reckon a party at their place would be one hell of a party. Sadly London isn't on the train line so...

I'm hoping some of my Australian in London friends will play perfect moles for me - attend - and tell me everything. In fact anyone at all who wants to attend and tell me everything - that would be grand.

Industrial Tea Cosies

Now is that a name for book TWO? What about Urban Tea Cosies.

Remember this? Here is a bit more. What is it? Well it is a tea cosy of course! Not quite ready for show and tell yet. Just little peeks.

Saucy Socks

All done and mooching up. Thank you to the foot actors Ali Foot and Ben Foot.

Interesting but NOT pleasing

Ellen A showed me how to dye like this, one colour at a time. I love this method. There is much more control. But the devil made me finish with blue. I should not have added blue. Perhaps green or orange. The colours on their own make me dance. Together? Well - puke really.

I wonder what would happen if I dunked the whole lot in yellow again?

Mosaic Tea Cosies

.... just because I learnt how to make mosaics in flickr today. Might just have to mosaic everything from now on.

Why would anyone visit your blog?

My friend Steve has another friend Mary. Well Mary is sort of my friend too. But she was Steve's friend first - by miles. Anyway Mary said to Steve "Why would anyone visit your blog?" Mary is obviously not a blogger. But we can forgive her that. And we can thank her for this beautiful Ode to Knitting (and to knitting friends) being posted and welcome my friend Steve to the land of blogging and writing and being loved and adored by complete strangers.

Go there and have a read and don't forget to tell Steve The New Blogger you've been there.

Yes! That is my Coral Fantasy. The tea cosy on the head thing? It's a Y chromosome thing.

Wild Tea Cosy - First Appearance

This little crocheted beauty is making her first appearance. Take a bow girl. She needs a name.

A name. A name. What do you think? Any suggestions?
